Description

Applications

For fixed installations on ships and offshore-units in all locations below the upper metallic deck.

A more specific design (e. g. screening) is necessary for installations in radio stations or above the upper metallic deck.

The cables meet the flame test requirements for bunched cables acc. to IEC 60332-3-22 and IEEE 45-18.13, and perform to the SOLAS requirements.

 

Design

  1. Conductor: Stranded bare copper class 2
  2. Insulation: HEPR (cross-linked hardgrade ethylene propylene rubber)
  3. Common covering: filler (extruded) or tape
  4. Outer sheath: CR (Cross linked polychloroprene rubber),
    colour: black

 

Marking

e. g.: l NEXANS l *MGG 1000 V 85°C DIN 89160, IEC 60092-353 IEC 60332-3-22 2 x 25 mm2+ Metric Marking

 

Core Identification

1 core: natural colour ( beige )

2 cores: black / blue

3 cores: black / blue / brown

4 cores: black / blue / brown / black

5 cores: black / blue / brown / black / black

7 to 24 core cable: all cores natural coloured, printed with numbers, starting in centre with number 1.

Cables with 3 cores and above also with green-yellow core (must be stated in order).
